Platform Tools — Complete Guide
Overview
FuriosaCRM includes a suite of built-in tools designed to help you analyze, clean, and prepare your data without needing third-party software. These tools are accessible from the Tools section in the admin sidebar and are available to all users regardless of subscription tier.
The three primary tools are the Postcode Analyzer for geographic audience analysis, Clean Numbers for phone number validation and formatting, and the Privacy Builder for generating GDPR-compliant privacy policy documents. Each tool is designed to handle common data tasks that event marketers and CRM operators face regularly.
Postcode Analyzer
The Postcode Analyzer helps you understand the geographic distribution of your audience. Upload a dataset containing UK postcodes, and the tool generates a visual heatmap showing where your contacts are concentrated. This is invaluable for planning event locations, targeted local advertising, and understanding regional engagement patterns.
To use the Postcode Analyzer, navigate to Tools → Postcode Analyzer. You can either paste a list of postcodes directly into the text area, upload a CSV file with a postcode column, or select an existing audience from your CRM. The tool accepts full postcodes (e.g., SW1A 1AA) and postcode prefixes (e.g., SW1A or SW1).
Once your data is loaded, click Analyze. The tool processes the postcodes and generates a color-coded heatmap of the UK. Regions with higher concentrations of contacts appear in deeper shades of teal, while areas with fewer contacts appear lighter. Hovering over any region shows the exact count and percentage of your total audience.
The right-hand statistics panel breaks down the data by region, county, and postcode area. You can see the top 10 regions, the average distance between contacts (useful for determining event venue locations), and the overall geographic spread score. The entire analysis can be exported as a PDF report with the map visualization and all statistics included.
Clean Numbers
The Clean Numbers tool validates and formats phone numbers into a standardized international format. This is essential before sending SMS campaigns, as incorrectly formatted numbers will fail delivery and waste credits. The tool supports phone numbers from over 200 countries and handles all common formatting variations.
Navigate to Tools → Clean Numbers to access the tool. You can input numbers by pasting them into the text area (one per line), uploading a CSV file, or selecting a column from an existing CRM audience. The tool accepts numbers in any format: with or without country codes, with spaces, dashes, parentheses, or leading zeros.
Click Clean & Validate to process the numbers. The tool attempts to parse each number, detect its country of origin, and format it into E.164 international format (e.g., +447911123456). Numbers that cannot be parsed or fail validation are flagged as invalid with a reason (too short, too long, invalid prefix, or unrecognizable format).

0044-7911-555-888
447700900456
0191 498 0000

The results page shows two tabs: Valid Numbers and Invalid Numbers. Valid numbers are shown in their cleaned E.164 format and can be exported as a CSV file or pushed directly to a CRM audience. Invalid numbers show the original input alongside the reason for failure, helping you identify patterns (such as a batch of numbers with the wrong country code).
Clean Numbers handles the following format conversions automatically:
- UK local format:
07911 123456becomes+447911123456 - International with brackets:
+44 (0)7700 900123becomes+447700900123 - Dashed format:

0191 498 0000becomes+441914980000
Privacy Builder
The Privacy Builder generates customized privacy policy documents that comply with GDPR and other data protection regulations. This is essential for any page that collects personal data (names, emails, phone numbers) from your audience. Navigate to Tools → Privacy Builder to access the tool.
The builder presents a series of sections that you can toggle on or off based on your data handling practices. Core sections include: what data you collect, how you use it, legal basis for processing, data retention periods, third-party data sharing, cookie usage, and user rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability). Each section has customizable text fields pre-populated with sensible defaults.
You fill in your organization details (company name, registration number, DPO contact email, registered address) and the builder weaves them into a professional privacy policy document. You can preview the generated policy in a live preview pane that updates as you make changes. Once you are satisfied, click Generate to create the final document.
Acme Events Ltd ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you will be processed.
1. Data We Collect
We may collect the following personal data: name, email address, phone number, and any other data you provide through our forms...
2. Legal Basis
Under GDPR, we process your data based on: consent you have provided, legitimate interests...
The generated policy can be downloaded as HTML, embedded directly into a FuriosaCRM page via the page builder, or copied as plain text. FuriosaCRM can also host the privacy policy at a URL like yourpage.furiosacrm.com/privacy or on your custom domain, and automatically link it from the footer of your signup forms.
Data Export
Beyond the individual tool exports mentioned above, FuriosaCRM provides a centralized data export capability. You can export audience data (contacts and their attributes), campaign performance data (sends, opens, clicks, conversions), and page analytics (submissions, conversion rates) from their respective sections.
All exports generate CSV files that are compatible with Excel, Google Sheets, and any data analysis tool. For large datasets (over 10,000 rows), exports are processed in the background via the Redis queue and you receive an email notification when the file is ready to download. Export files are available for 7 days before automatic deletion.
You can also combine exports across tools. For example, run a Postcode Analyzer report on your audience, then export only the contacts in the top 5 postcodes as a targeted list for a local event campaign. This workflow keeps your data manipulation within FuriosaCRM rather than requiring external spreadsheet work.
Best Practices
To get the most value from FuriosaCRM's tools, incorporate them into your regular workflow rather than treating them as one-off utilities.
- Clean numbers on import: Every time you import contacts from a CSV or Excel file, run them through Clean Numbers first. This prevents SMS delivery failures and keeps your database tidy.
- Analyze before every event: Run the Postcode Analyzer before finalizing event locations. Even small shifts in venue location can dramatically affect attendance when your audience is geographically concentrated.
- Update your privacy policy quarterly: Data handling practices evolve, especially if you add new integrations or change how you use audience data. Revisit the Privacy Builder every quarter to ensure your policy stays current.
- Export and back up regularly: While FuriosaCRM maintains robust backups, it is good practice to export your critical audience data monthly as an additional safeguard.
- Combine tools with campaigns: Use geographic insights from the Postcode Analyzer to inform your ad targeting in the Ads Manager. Use cleaned phone numbers as the basis for SMS campaigns. The tools are most powerful when used as part of a larger workflow.
